Things to do this Christmas: 2023

The festive season is rolling in and so are the events, so we have compiled a handy list of SLY DOG approved events and ideas to make the most of the merry season:
1) Use your favourite SLY DOG rum to create an indulgent, boozy treat. From BBC Good Food, this rum and raisin millionaire's chocolate pots are a luxurious treat. You simply need to soak your raisins in our rum to make a pudding perfect for the season. If chocolate puddings aren't your thing, then our rum old fashioned may satisfy that sweet craving being both naughty and spiced
2) If you're lucky enough to secure some tickets, Taste Film is an incredible immersive experience where you eat what you see on screen. They have some festive films coming up so if you want to eat like Cameron Diaz in The Holiday or feel like you're also Home Alone, sign up to their mailing list to be in with a chance of securing tickets
3) Head down to Battersea Power Station for your one-stop-shop for festive activities. Aside from the obvious availability of an array of shops to get your gifts ready for the big day, they've spared no expense in decking their halls with beautiful Christmas trees and lights as well as an epic ice rink for you to slide and glide on. Don't forget your mini SLY DOG to keep you warm!
4) It wouldn't be a complete list without a shameless self plug BUT we're back at BBC Good Food Birmingham from 23rd-26th November and we'd love to see you there. Featuring both new and old brands, there is something for everyone to sink their teeth into to find some delicious festive treats. TV chefs like Rosemary Shrager, James Martin and The Hairy Bikers will be hosting talks and they'll be tasters galore so come down to the NEC and check it out. Tickets can be found here
